Philadelphia Marriott Old City has opened after successfully completing a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding in Pennsylvania, US.
The new flagship Marriott Hotels branded property, which is owned and redeveloped by the Buccini Pollin Group, is operated by the US-based hotel management company PM Hotel.
Formerly known as Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill, the new hotel has also introduced the city’s first elevated concierge lounge experience, M Club.
PM Hotel Group president Joseph Bojanowski said: “We are always excited when we have the opportunity to leverage our expertise in identifying markets and projects with significant performance upside through repositioning and rebranding.
“Transitioning this hotel into the re-imagined Philadelphia Marriott Old City will allow the hotel to capture emerging opportunities in the dynamic, resurging Philadelphia market.”
The 364-room hotel features a completely re-designed lobby and refurbished guest rooms.

By GlobalDataFeaturing interiors by boutique design studio, Krause Sawyer, the enhancements also include the addition of a Great Room and 17,000 ft2 of redesigned meeting space.
The ballroom and meeting space are located on one floor and are surrounded by several breakout rooms and three outdoor patios. The existing fitness centre has been expanded to 4,000ft2 with 24/7 access.
The property also features Society Commons, which a new, all-day dining experience and stylish bar area that features local spirits and brews, as well as a coffee and juice bar.
Krause Sawyer co-founders Kajsa Krause and Tracey Sawyers said: “The design draws inspiration from the local warehouse structures and colonial detailing, industrial elements and artisanal craftmanship to hard-wearing garments and intricate tailoring.
