The UAE-based brand Cove Beach is set to open its first international location at Benin in West Africa.
According to a local publication The National, the Cove Beach Hotel and Resort in the port city of Cotonou will open its doors next year.
The destination will include bungalows, three-bedroom private villas, a beach club and nightclub. Additionally, the location will feature a bar, business lounge, tea room, Japanese restaurant and a steakhouse.
The five-storey hotel will be operated by Dubai-based company Livit Hospitality Management.
Construction works are currently underway.
Livit managing partner Charlie Weaving was quoted by the publication as saying: “In launching Cove Beach Benin, we set out to bring Dubai’s exuberance to residents and visitors of Cotonou, delicately balancing the very best in excitement and relaxation to elevate the city’s hospitality offering and put it on the map as a must-visit destination in West Africa.

By GlobalData“It not only marks a significant milestone as Cove Beach’s first permanent international venue, but it is also the brand’s first venue into a 360-degree, full-service hospitality offering.”
The move comes when several UAE-based enterprises are aiming to expand their international footprint.
Last month, UAE-headquartered hospitality company TIME Hotels announced plans to add new properties across the Middle East and in Mauritius over the coming 18 months.
This will include assuming management responsibility of two boutique hotels in Saudi Arabia and opening new properties in Egypt.
