Jimmy Buffett inspired global lifestyle brand Margaritaville has opened its new $370m property in New York City’s Times Square, Manhattan, US.
The 32-storey Margaritaville Resort Times Square hotel is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 40th Street. It is close to the entertainment district and New York’s popular attractions, shopping venues and museums.
Designed by Stonehill Taylor, the property’s interior design was done by The McBride Company.
Margaritaville Hospitality Group, Soho Properties, Inc, and Flintlock Constructions Services have developed the hotel.
Soho Properties chairman and CEO Sharif El-Gamal said: “The opening of Margaritaville Resort Times Square is an incredible moment for the hundreds of team members involved in this property and for the city of New York after such a challenging year.

By GlobalDataMargaritaville Resort Times Square has 234 guestrooms and offers a range of in-room amenities, such as Wi-Fi access, Keurig coffee maker, signature Margaritaville bed linens, walk-in rain shower, soundproof windows and more.
It boasts flexible event spaces that can host up to 1,000 guests, an outdoor heated pool, a Margaritaville retail store and five restaurants and bars.
The retail store offers beach-inspired apparel, gifts and more, including items that are exclusively found in New York. It also provides guests the convenience of directly shipping purchases to their homes.
Margaritaville Restaurant features a Tiki Bar and a replica of the Statue of Liberty standing 32ft tall and holding a margarita glass, which is a custom-made LED screen.
The other dining venues are LandShark Bar & Grill, License to Chill, BarJoe’s Merchant Coffee & Provisions and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar.
IMCMV Holdings is responsible for developing the property’s food, beverage and retail concepts.
The Margaritaville brand has more than 20 lodging locations, with more than 20 additional projects in the development pipeline.
