The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 13.98% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.95% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 2.16% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Malaysia travel & tourism industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Genting posted 75 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 2.6% over the previous month, followed by Genting Group with 47 jobs and a 35.62% drop. AirAsia Group with 2 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth during July 2021.
Entry Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Entry Level jobs held a share of 58.87%, up by 128.13% from June 2021. Junior Level positions with a 40.32% share, a decline of 58.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 0.81% share, flat growth over June 2021.
