US hotel owner and operator MCR has completed the purchase of its first hotel in Mississippi, Courtyard by Marriott Oxford.
Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Located at 305 Jackson Avenue East, the hotel is just a few steps away from the University of Mississippi campus and a mile from The Grove.
Courtyard by Marriott Oxford offers full-service experience for both leisure and business travellers.
The hotel has 121 guestrooms and suites, each equipped with flexible spaces to work and relax, a microwave, a mini refrigerator, complementary Wi-Fi, and more.
It also has 18 suites including the Loft and a Presidential suite.

Dining venues at the hotel include The Bistro, which offers a variety of breakfast and dinner options and specialty beverages made with Starbucks coffee.
The Green Roof Lounge bar serves cocktails, light bites, and restaurant.
Courtyard by Marriott Oxford also boasts 5,360ft2 of total event space with two event rooms.
The property also has an onsite fitness facility, a 24-hour business centre, a 24-hour sundry shop, an indoor pool as well as complimentary parking.
MCR is the fourth largest hotel owner-operator in the US that operates eight Marriott brands, six Hilton brands and other independent hotels.
Worth $4.0bn, the company’s portfolio includes 125 premium-branded hotels. It comprises a total of 20,000 guestrooms across 34 states.
In July this year, MCR purchased a portfolio of Marriott and Hilton hotels in Dallas and Houston, Texas and Seattle, Washington totalling 674 rooms for $94m.
It also acquired the 725-room Lexington Hotel located at 511 Lexington Avenue at 48th Street in New York for $185m.
