Resorts developer and operator Kerzner International has assumed the management of luxury desert resort, Bab Al Shams, in Dubai.
The resort will join Kerzner’s newly launched collection brand called Rare Finds.
Bab Al Shams, which is owned by Meydan, will close next month to undergo extensive renovation. It will reopen in early 2023 under Rare Finds.
The reimagination project will focus on enhancing the resort’s experiences and entertainment destinations while maintaining its equestrian identity.
Dining venues will be renewed with the addition of Modern Arabic cuisine, a rooftop lounge and al fresco dining.
Other amenities or additions include a desert spa with couples’ rooms, a hammam, a plunge pool and an indoor courtyard pool, fitness facilities, and a relaxation area.

By GlobalDataIn addition, the family-friendly resort will offer outdoor activities and adventures, such as desert equestrian sports, star gazing with in-house astronomers, sandboarding amongst the dunes, archery, fireside storytelling and more.
Bab Al Shams boasts spaces for weddings, events and celebrations, corporate meetings, indoor and outdoor event spaces that can accommodate up to 500 guests.

Kerzner, which owns Atlantis Resorts and Residences, ultra-luxury One&Only Resorts, aims to strategically expand its Rare Finds Portfolio over the coming years.
