Luxury hospitality company Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is set to open a new hotel in the city of Makkah, also known as Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as part of efforts to expand its portfolio in the Middle East.
The company has partnered with Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) for the construction of the new hotel. Architectural firm Foster + Partners was selected to design the hotel.
Named as Four Seasons Hotel Makkah, the new hotel will be located adjacent to Al-Masjid Al-?aram (the Grand Mosque) to provide enhanced hospitality experience to Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
The new hotel will be the company's second location in Saudi Arabia, the first being Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre.

By GlobalDataThe multi-towered building will feature approximately 375 guest rooms and suites, including about 90 Four Seasons private residences.
Each of the guest room and suite will provide views of the Kaaba and will feature one or more private prayer rooms.
The hotel will also include three restaurants and lounges, a ballroom and meeting rooms, and a spa and fitness centre.
