The industry’s overall hiring increased by 8.98% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.31% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.51% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 63.64% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 22 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 175% over the previous month, followed by Caesars Entertainment with 14 jobs and a 133.33% growth. Greene King with 14 IT jobs and Carnival with 12 jobs, recorded a 6.67% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Booking Holdings recorded a decline of 33.33% with 10 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.94%, up by 25.35% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.85% share, registered an increase of 73.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.21% share, up 77.78% over April 2022.
