The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.83% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.66% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 12.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s travel & tourism industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
The Walt Disney posted 123 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 50% over the previous month, followed by Aimbridge Hospitality with 100 jobs and a 222.58% growth. Marriott International with 57 IT jobs and National Railroad Passenger with 50 jobs, recorded a 26.67% growth and a 1.96% decrease, respectively, while American Airlines Group recorded a decline of 21.95% with 32 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.94%, down by 23.44% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.23% share, registered a decline of 39.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.7% share, down 30.63% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.12%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
