US-based company Uber Technologies IT hiring declined 12.5% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 21.81% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 27.99% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 3.82% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Uber Technologies IT hiring in June 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Uber Technologies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70% in June 2022, and a 72.19% drop over May 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 15% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 40%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.67% in June 2022, a 69.23% drop from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 25%, registering a 79.45% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.67% share and a 56.25% drop over May 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 10% and a month-on-month decline of 70%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 5%, registering a 75% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 46.67% share in June 2022, a 67.06% decline over May 2022. India featured next with a 23.33% share, down 72% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 5% share, a decline of 25% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Uber Technologies IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.33%, down by 72.67% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.67% share, a decline of 61.76% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10% share, down 80% over May 2022.
