Accor has signed a management agreement with PT Bintan Lagoon Resort, a subsidiary of PT Edika Agung Mandiri, to open Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort in Indonesia.
The resort, which is slated to open next year, will become the first Mövenpick property in Bintan.
It will feature 413 rooms and a private white sandy beach overlooking the South China Sea in the northern part of the island.
Amenities to be provided at the resort will include three lagoon swimming pools, new restaurant concepts, a two-storey beach club, event spaces, and a ferry terminal.
The resort is expected to offer Swiss-inspired hospitality to Bintan.
Wellness will form an integral part of the resort experience, with a wellness and recreation centre featuring a gym, a spa, and Kids Club.

Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort will join a bunch of more than 100 Mövenpick hotels and resorts across the world.
Earlier this month, Accor, in collaboration with PT Mega Hotel Lestari, opened its first ibis Styles property in Semarang, Indonesia.
