Marriott International has entered into agreement with AB Living to develop new St. Regis brand property in Mexico.

The new property, The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, is slated to open in early 2025.

Designed by Mexico-based architectural firm Sordo Madaleno Architects, the hotel is expected to house 158 guest rooms and 80 branded residential units.

The resort will provide many amenities, including three food and beverage venues, several swimming pools, a beach club, approximately 470m2 of meeting space, and signature St. Regis Butler Service.

In addition, the property will feature 22,584m2 branded residences with private elevator access, a residential concierge, a fitness centre, and full access to the resort’s amenities and services.

Located along the Costa Mujeres beach, The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort is just 35-minute drive from Cancun’s International Airport.

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts vice president and global brand leader George Fleck said: “The signing of The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort represents a pivotal moment for St. Regis, as the brand continues its dynamic resort growth in the world’s most glamorous leisure destinations.

“We are thrilled to expand St. Regis’ footprint in Mexico and look forward to bringing the brand’s celebrated rituals and traditions to this vibrant and sought-after destination for future guests.”

Currently, Marriot operates two St. Regis properties in Mexico, comprising The St. Regis Mexico City and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.

Later this year, the brand will debut in Riviera Maya, followed by another property in Los Cabos next year.

The signing of The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort highlights the company’s commitment to expand in compelling markets including the Caribbean, North America, North Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

In February this year, Marriott signed a management agreement with Cola Holdings and The Westbury Hotel for the first St. Regis brand property in the UK.
