Hospitality firm Hilton has expanded its Costa Rica and luxury footprint with the signing of Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste hotel.
Located on a peninsula and offering ocean views, the new-build is the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand property in Costa Rica. It is still under construction and expected to open in 2025.
Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste will house 190 luxurious guest rooms and suites, including a Presidential Suite compound, as well as 25 private residences.
Guest amenities at the property will include a wellness centre with advanced gym, a movement studio, outdoor yoga, and lap and thermal pools as well as a cenote-inspired spa featuring eight treatment rooms and three outdoor treatment rooms.
The hotel also boasts approximately 10,000ft2 of meeting and event facilities, including indoor and outdoor space, an event lawn and a pavilion for weddings.
For young guests, the property has a kids centre and teen’s club.

Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste will be managed by Hilton and owned by Revolution, Cacique Investors, and Garnier & Garnier.
Currently, the company operates a network of 200 hotels in the Caribbean and Latin America, with more than 100 hotels in the development pipeline.
Last month, Hilton signed its first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in Vietnam.
