EMKE LuLu Group managing director Yusuffali MA has entered a £110m deal to convert the original Scotland Yard Police Station in London into a five-star hotel.
The latest investment will be the second by the Indian tycoon in London, as he previously invested in the East India Company.
Scotland Yard Police Station has Edwardian architecture, which will be enhanced by giving it a contemporary style, reported PTI. The property will retain the main entrance, which features Edwardian imperial red brick and stone.
The 92,000ft² five-star hotel will feature luxurious bedrooms, a library, lobby/lounge and private meeting, entertaining and dining rooms, as well as restaurants.
According to reports, a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse is also expected to be incorporated into the hotel, making it a seven-storey property with two basement levels.
