A new state-of-the-art luxury ski-in, ski-out mixed-use development called Kindred Resort is being built at the base of Keystone’s ski slopes in Colorado, US.

Ground-breaking for the resort took place in October 2022 and it is expected to open in 2025.

The mixed-use development is set to be located near the ski area’s gondola in River Run Village. It will include a 107-room hotel, 95 luxury residences, restaurants, retail shops and a private ski club with a ski valet service, as well as an outdoor pool, hot tubs, a spa, a new ski school area, and a kids club.

The resort will also include a meeting and event space that can be used to host weddings, business events and conferences.

Kindred Resort team partners Ryan Geller and Shervin Shevy Rashidi said: “It’s exciting to see the Kindred Resort project come to life, as well as the recent vote to incorporate the Town of Keystone.

“This project will transform the base area of Keystone Resort and bring a new level of luxury to the new town of Keystone. This is the first new major development in Keystone in the past 20 years, and we’re confident Kindred will help to put the new Town of Keystone on the map.”

The hotel will form the centrepiece of the project and will be managed by Vail Resorts under its RockResorts portfolio of luxury hotels and residences. It will be flanked by two residential towers comprising one to four-bedroom condominiums.

Sales have already been concluded for more than 60% of the residences being offered under the project.

PCL Construction received a contract worth $184m to construct the Kindred Resort project in September 2022. The multi-disciplinary Architecture firm OZ Architecture was selected to provide the design for the project while LIV Sotheby’s International Realty was appointed for the sale of the condominium units.
