IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of two new luxury hotels in Rome, InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace and Six Senses Rome, in partnership with Mr & Mrs Smith.
The InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is said to offer a classic luxury experience in a historic building. The hotel has 160 rooms and suites that feature classic Italian décor with a modern twist, along with views of Rome.
Six Senses Rome, the brand’s first hotel in Italy, offers a contemporary take on luxury hospitality, focusing on wellness and sustainability. With 96 rooms, Six Senses Rome has a selection of 12 different types of room, including three individually designed signature suites.
IHG Hotels & Resorts points out that both hotels are located in prime locations in Rome, offering easy access to some of the city’s most popular attractions. Plus, guests at both hotels can enjoy a range of dining options, including Italian and international cuisine.
Embarking on a new period of lavish experiences in Rome
The opening of these hotels marks a new era of luxury for IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Italian luxury and lifestyle collection, and for Rome as a destination for luxury travellers, according to IHG.
“The city hasn’t seen this level of brand-new luxury hotels open in many years,” said Jane Mackie, IHG’s senior vice president of luxury and Lifestyle brands.
