India-based ITC Mughal has been awarded the LEED Zero Water Certification by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), The Times of India has reported.  

As part of its goal to be self-sufficient, ITC Mughal has been implementing sustainable methods to ensure that water requirements for its properties and operations are met by collecting rainfall and processing it for appropriate usage.

ITC Hotels divisional chief executive Anil Chadha said: “ITC Mughal is the first hotel globally to be awarded the LEED Zero Water Certification by the US Green Building Council.
