Hospitality company Indian Hotels Company Limited’s (IHCL) Taj brand is set to open the 100th hotel under its portfolio.
IHCL has partnered with Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to operate a 112-key Taj hotel near the Cochin International Airport in Kochi, in the state of Kerala. It is the second Taj-branded hotel in the city.
The 112-key hotel will provide its customers with various options, such as an all-day diner, a bar, a lounge and an open-air speciality restaurant.
Amenities at the hotel will also include banqueting spaces and meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a gym and a spa.
The new hotel will take IHCL’s portfolio to 17 hotels, including five under development across its Taj, Vivanta, SeleQtions and Ginger brands in the state.
The Taj brand of hotels, which was founded in 1903, includes modern business hotels, beach resorts and grand palaces.

The latest announcement comes shortly after IHCL revealed its plan to open two new Vivanta and Ginger branded hotels in Ayodhya in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
