Wynn Resorts has revealed Wynn Al Marjan Island as the name of its new integrated resort debuting in Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.

It has also unveiled the design of this beachfront resort, which draws its inspiration from the tranquil seascape of Al Marjan Island – a group of four islands.

This first-ever beachfront resort of Wynn Resorts is being developed with local partners Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding.

Overlooking the Arabian Gulf waters, Wynn Al Marjan Island rises over 305m above the sea.

It aims to provide visitors with a luxury experience along with premium entertainment and gaming amenities.

For the US-listed developer and luxury resort operator, this is its first project in the Middle East North Africa region.

This project is estimated to cost approximately $3.9bn and the foundation construction work began on site earlier this year.

Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature approximately 1,500 rooms, suites and villas.

It will offer a wide array of entertainment options such as a gaming area, 24 dining and lounge experiences, spa and wellness experiences, a high-end shopping venue, an events centre and a theatre. The resort will also offer nightly laser and light shows.

It is designed for both longer visits and day trips from neighbouring emirates.

The geometric configuration of the curved shape of the beach on the island reflects in the podium structure, akin to a great opera house.

Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings said: “We have spent the past year meticulously programming and concepting Wynn Al Marjan Island, carefully considering its unique location.

“I am incredibly proud of our design and development team’s ability to impart our legacy of rich, thoughtful design into a sun-soaked beachside resort that will delight customers, new and old.  We look forward to opening Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027.”

Al Marjan Island is a flagship development of Marjan and has an increasing portfolio of luxury five-star hotels and residential developments offering a wide range of amenities and services and boasting over 7.8km of beaches and 23km of waterfront.
