Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has announced its plan to debut in the Maldives by opening a new resort in the island country.
Set to open in 2027, the proposed Rosewood Ranfaru resort will be designed to reflect the brand’s ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy that focuses on providing guests privacy, luxury and a connection to nature.
Rosewood Ranfaru will be situated across a series of private islands around a lagoon in the South Male Atoll.
Located within an hour from Velana International Airport in Male, the capital of the Maldives, the resort can be accessed by either a 35-minute yacht trip or a ten-minute seaplane flight.
Developed by Qatar-based Estithmar, the property will feature about 120 beachfront and overwater villas with one to five-bedroom configurations. All the villas will have private pools, while some of the villas will be situated on private islands.
In addition, Rosewood Ranfaru will include a Rosewood Explorer’s Club, various speciality restaurants, a beach club as well as an Asaya well-being facility and fitness centre, swimming pools and water sports.
