Dusit Hotels and Resorts, a division under Thailand-based hotel and property development company Dusit International, plans to open two hotels in Bangkok and one in Japan.

The company is preparing to launch its first DusitD2 branded hotel in Bangkok – DusitD2 Samyan Bangkok, scheduled for a soft opening on 12 May 2023.

This new hotel is located on Si Phraya Road, Bangkok and features 179 guest rooms.

Furthermore, the hotel boasts a lobby, a meeting space, a well-equipped fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a multi-level food and beverage outlet and an all-day dining restaurant named Mimi that serves shakes, burgers, craft beers and cocktails.

On 15 May 2023, Dusit will unveil its lifestyle brand, Asai Hotels, with the launch of Asai Bangkok Sathorn on Sathorn Soi 12, near Bangkok’s central business area.

In addition to 106 guest rooms, the new hotel has a standard room with a neighbourhood bar, a co-working area and a dining venue.

Dusit will subsequently expand the Asai brand outside of Thailand on 1 June 2023 with the debut of Asai Kyoto Shijo in Japan.

With 114 compact rooms, the hotel will include a communal centre for work, rest and play, as well as a dining room inspired by Bangkok’s rich street-food culture.

Dusit International COO Gilles Cretallaz said: “As we continue to execute our plan for domestic and global expansion, we are delighted to welcome three new hotels to our portfolio including our first DusitD2 branded hotel in Bangkok, our second Asai hotel in Bangkok and our first hotel in Japan.

“These openings represent significant milestones for our company, and we are confident that their unique positioning and distinctive lifestyle and food and beverage experiences will resonate with travellers from around the world.”
