Germany-based property developer and real estate management group ECE has joined the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.
As a new affiliate member, the partners will work together to build a regenerative, net-positive hospitality sector.
ECE Work and Live promotes sustainable hotel construction and growth. Over the next decade, one of its primary responsibilities is to consider future climate policy requirements. Its emphasis is on long-term planning and taking permanent responsibility.
The Alliance claims to be the world’s leading network for responsible hospitality, collaborating with a wide range of companies in the hospitality industry to implement what it refers to as “Net Positive Hospitality”.
It targets major issues affecting the planet, its people, local locations and communities.
The Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality programme of the Alliance sets targets for creating a thriving and responsible global hospitality business that gives back to the destination more than it takes.

ECE Work and Live Hotel development director Torsten Kuttig said: “Joining the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance underlines our commitment to realise hotel projects that are in line with ESG standards and our company-wide sustainability strategy.
“As the first developer within the network, we are keen on contributing our extensive expertise and we look forward to exchanging with the other members.”
Earlier this year, ECE announced plans to develop its first hotel project in Italy. It is planned to be operated by “Ruby Hotels” in Rome.
As of today, the Alliance has more than 30 members with a seven million room reach, spanning world-leading hotel companies, such as Choice Hotels, Marriott International, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt and Radisson Hotel Group, as well as regional brands and other brands in the hospitality value chain.
