Sabre, a technology provider to the travel and tourism industry, has renewed its technology agreement with hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide to market and sell its inventory in the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).
The Sabre travel marketplace unites buyers and sellers of travel with access to approximately 400 airlines, 125,000 hotel properties, 200 tour operators, 50 rail carriers, 27 car rental outlets and 16 cruise lines.
The Sabre GDS enables companies to search, price, book and pay for travel services.
Commenting on the deal, Hilton Worldwide vice president for distribution channel management Paula Christy said, "Sabre provides tremendous value to Hilton Worldwide with its expansive global reach and access to millions of travellers."
Hilton Worldwide has 4,112 hotels, resorts and timeshare properties in 92 countries and territories.
Its portfolio of brands includes luxury hotel brands Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts; full-service hotel brands Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton and Embassy Suites Hotels; focused-service hotel brands Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton; extended stay brands Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton; as well as Curio – A Collection by Hilton and timeshare brand Hilton Grand Vacations.
