IHG Hotels and Resorts has entered a management agreement with Akam Al Rajhi to launch the MEA region’s first voco resort in Egypt.
Akam Al Rajhi is a joint venture of real estate companies AkamAlRajhi and Al Rajhi Saudi groups.
As part of the company’s growth plan, IHG intends to broaden its MEA presence and diversify its portfolio.
The 300-room voco North Coast, scheduled to open in December 2026, will feature low-rise structures, chalets and townhouses with direct access to the beachfront.
This resort will feature natural landscapes, artificial lakes, a spa, a swimming pool, a health club, a shopping mall, a waterpark, running and biking tracks and various dining options. It will also boast 1,375m² meeting and event areas.
The resort will be 23km from Egypt’s new Al Alamein Airport and minutes away from Alexandria Matrouh.
