Hard Rock International and Palladium Hotel Group will open Europe’s first Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza on 18 May 2014.

The new hotel in the Balearic Islands will be a conversion of one of the Spanish hotel group’s Fiesta Hotels & Resorts branded properties.

Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will be located on the Playa d’en Bossa. It will house 235 suites, a spa, a Body Rock workout facility, 8,600ft² of meeting space, music memorabilia and Rock Shop.

Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will be the destination’s largest five-star hotel, and is set to feature one of the world’s most expensive hotel restaurants with Michelin-starred chef Paco Rancero’s Sublimotion.

Palladium Hotel Group CEO Abel Matutes Prats is confident that Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will be a success.

"We look forward to continuing our relationship with Hard Rock as we’ve seen great success in our existing Cafe business."

"We operate more than 3,450 rooms in 12 hotels in Ibiza, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Hard Rock as we’ve seen great success in our existing Cafe business," Prats added.

Hard Rock International owns the global trademark for all Hard Rock brands.

Presently, HRI has 174 properties in 54 countries, including 138 cafes, 17 hotels and seven casinos.

Upcoming Hard Rock Cafe properties include San Jose, Ibiza, Chennai, Istanbul and Tenerife. New Hard Rock Hotel projects include Palm Springs, Aruba, Riviera Maya, Abu Dhabi, and Shenzhen and Haikou in China.
