Marriott International’s upscale lifestyle hotel chain W Hotels Worldwide has made its debut in Hungary with the opening of W Budapest.

The W Budapest is located within the historic Drechsler Palace, which was previously home to the Institute of Ballet.

It has a “second skin” design story that combines the two sides of the city, Buda and Pest, with a juxtaposition.

Situated at Andrássy Avenue, the 151-guestroom and suites hotel features restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi’s Nightingale by Beefbar, Society25 cocktail bar in the basement and the W Lounge on the ground floor.

The property also boasts many meeting and event spaces, including the Great Room, which is ideal for grand celebrations, as well as two studio rooms for intimate gatherings and business meetings.

Other amenities at W Budapest include a fitness centre, a spa and an indoor pool.

“We look forward to connecting our guests to this timeless and inspiring city through inviting yet unexpected design, imaginative dining and unparalleled guest programming.”

The hotel chain has more than 60 hotels across the world.
