Hard Rock International and real estate projects developer Mercan Properties have unveiled plans to develop a new Hard Rock Hotel Algarve in Portugal.

To be located in Praia do Vau, Portimão, the new hotel will feature approximately 275 luxurious rooms and suites, along with 150 branded serviced apartments.

It will also feature a broad range of amenities, including a beach club, three exterior pools, the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, a sports area and a Rock Spa.

In addition to offering direct access to the beach, Hard Rock Hotel Algarve will also boast three bars, a gym, three restaurants and the Rock Shop.

Construction work on the hotel is scheduled to commence early next year, with opening planned in the second half of 2026.

The company stated that the new hotel is expected to create more than 400 jobs in the area during the construction as well as operations, which is expected to start next year.
