RMS North America and Solonis have unveiled product updates to enhance efficiency and revenue as well as streamline the booking process for hospitality property managers and operators.
RMS North America is a cloud-based reservation and property management system, while Solonis is a hotel-dedicated cloud-based property management system. RMS North America introduced Solonis in June 2022.
The product upgrades are expected to elevate the guest experience as well as provide hospitality businesses with the resources needed for growth.
RMS and Solonis’ latest improvements come after the recent announcements on the new smart metre partners feature and the collaboration with Outrigger Hospitality Group, a Honolulu-based luxury brand and management company, in February 2023.
RMS North America and Solonis chief revenue officer Fred Dominioni said: “At RMS North America and Solonis, we’re always innovating. This innovation is critical to serving our customers and being the best partners possible for the hospitality industry.
“The enhancements we’ve released for both brands address customer needs and enable these businesses to excel in today’s travel landscape.”

By GlobalDataThe latest improvements include the option for staff to create bookings from an interactive map in the Quick Quote tool.
Users can make a quick search and quote, as well as compare availability across a range of properties, rate types and categories.
Under the new updates, guests can select room preferences and choose from available rooms or site types within an inventory grouping category. Access is provided to group two or more site types into a single inventory category, thereby optimising bookings for similar sites or room types. This single inventory category can be pushed out to online travel agencies at one rate.
The pencil bookings in the guest portal can now be automatically converted to confirmed reservations when deposits are made.
The upgrade has also improved rate recalculation rules based on nightly rates, total rates and rate overrides posted by properties.
Templates are created with titles, detailed descriptions, due dates and more for specific staff departments, including accounting or reception.
RMS North America and Solonis claimed that the updates are intended to help users achieve business success through intelligent solutions.
