IHG Hotels & Resorts and WING, a property development firm, have signed Hotel Indigo Budapest Andrassy and Holiday Inn Express Vagohid in Budapest, Hungary.
The properties were signed at the real estate trade fair, called EXPO Real 2023, which is being held from 4 to 6 October 2023.
The signing of the new agreement marks the brand’s debut in Hungary.

Hotel Indigo Budapest Andrassy is set to open in the second quarter of 2028 on Andrassy Avenue in Budapest city’s sixth district.

This signing further expands Hotel Indigo brand’s current portfolio which consists of 145 open hotels and 128 more properties across the world in development pipeline.
Scheduled to open in early half of 2027, Holiday Inn Express Vagohid will have 162 guest rooms.
Located in the ninth district, in the southern part of the city, the hotel is near MUPA Budapest thNational Theatre, and the athletic stadium.
Currently, Holiday Inn Express brand has over 3,000 operational properties, with more than 330,000 rooms, across over 50 countries.

These additions come after the opening of Crowne Plaza Budapest in 2021 and the signing of Kimpton Budapest.
Currently, IHG Hotels & Resorts has four properties in Hungary with three more in the pipeline.
