Hard Rock International, in collaboration with Steinhauer Properties, has revealed development plans for a Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach in California, US.
This project marks the first new-build full-service hotel in Long Beach in three decades and the first addition to the Hard Rock Hotel brand in Southern California in about ten years.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the summer (June to August) of next year, with an anticipated opening in the spring (March to May) of 2027.
Hard Rock International chief operating officer Jon Lucas said: “We’re grateful to Mayor Rex Richardson, the City Council and our partners for welcoming Hard Rock’s unique brand of hospitality and entertainment to the city of Long Beach.
“We are really excited about expanding our award-winning hotel portfolio on the West Coast.”
Situated between Los Angeles and Newport Beach, the upscale property will have 31 stories with 427 rooms and suites, including a Rock Star Suite.

By GlobalDataIt will have an open rooftop bar, which is claimed to become the tallest rooftop bar on the Southern California Coast and provide 360° views.
The hotel will also house a ‘speakeasy’ with an intimate concert hall accommodating roughly 250 patrons.
Guests at the property can dine at its two on-site restaurants and also access Rock Shop, which features Hard Rock merchandise.
Among the other amenities to be provided at the hotel are an outdoor pool offering Pacific Ocean views and a Body Rock fitness studio.
Located in the centre of the city, next to the convention centre, the property will provide guests access to attractions such as Alamitos Beach, Shoreline Village, Aquarium of the Pacific, etc.
The construction phase is anticipated to create approximately 3,100 jobs and 500 permanent roles will be available once the property commences operations in 2027.
