Radisson Hotel Group has revealed plans to launch a programme called Net Zero Nights during the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) of the UNFCCC across its UAE hotels.
The COP28 conference will be held between 30 November to 12 December 2023 at Expo City, Dubai, UAE.
The hotel group aims to ensure carbon neutral stays for all guests in its 16 UAE hotels, prioritising sustainability, as reported by Breaking Travel News.
The launch of the programme includes the use of Renewable Energy Certificates (iRECs) and certified carbon credits.
Radisson Hotel Group plans to buy iRECs during the COP28 conference to offset the electric emissions from its hotels in the UAE.
Meanwhile, non-electric emissions will be mitigated through certified carbon credits.
