Hospitality cloud platform Mews has launched a new kiosk solution that is designed for both guest and staff use, enabling seamless check-in and check-out processes at hotels.
Mews Kiosk is designed to allow hotels to enhance their check-in process by offering upsells of products and services.
It is used in properties worldwide, ranging from economy, midscale and luxury categories, giving guests the flexibility to check-in via different ways.
Mews Kiosk enables guests to locate their reservation using their last name and generate their own room keys through clear on-screen instructions.
Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “We’ve completely overhauled its user interface and it’s driving phenomenal improvements in check-ins and outs.
“It’s now easier to find bookings, offer early check-in options and upsell services and products to guests, making a tangible difference to bottom lines and staff productivity.”

By GlobalDataThe company claims the introduction of Mews Kiosk has helped reduce check-in times by one minute.
Hotels using the kiosk have experienced an increase in its usage, with some properties witnessing a more than 100% rise in Kiosk usage.
Additionally, personalised Kiosk imagery allows hotels to enhance their brand and boost revenue, the company added.
The customisable screensaver feature enables hotels to play branded videos during idle times, promoting additional services and upgrades.
Mews Terminals, an integrated card reader, allows hotels to eliminate the need for manual processing of card payments by using it, reducing mistakes and duplicate charges.
The Kiosk provides guests arriving before check-in time the option to check-in early if a room is available.
Direct payment using the Kiosk avoids time drains for front desk staff, the company said.
Mews Kiosk is used by hotels such as Postillion Hotels and Hotel Maashof in the Netherlands.
Postillion Hotels has experienced a 36% reduction in guest check-in time, while Hotel Maashof has observed 60% faster check-ins.
Earlier this month, Quality Lodgings selected Mews to enhance guest experience and operations across its portfolio of more than 100 hotels.
