Thailand-based Minor Hotels has entered a partnership with Agro Safari to introduce safari experience in Zambia with an Anantara-branded tented camp.
Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp is currently in its initial stages of development and is expected to open in early 2025.
Owned by Agro Safari, the camp will be situated on the banks of the Kafue River, at the centre of Kafue National Park.
It will have 12 tents, including a 600m² Presidential Villa, with each tent featuring its own plunge pool and access to a boat and skipper.
Guests at the camp, which will be bookended by two islands, will have access to various facilities such as a spa, bar, swimming pool, restaurant, lounge, and a traditional African boma.
It will also offer nature-focused activities, such as fishing, boat safaris, birdwatching, and wildlife encounters.

“This represents a unique opportunity to offer unparalleled experiences to discerning travellers looking to explore outside the more well-known African parks and we look forward to working closely with our partners to bring this camp to fruition.”
The camp aims to employ eco-friendly measures and prioritise community involvement.
Its Community Culture Infusion programme will include supporting local businesses and hiring mostly Zambian staff.
This camp will join Anantara brand’s Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara and two island resorts in Mozambique.
