Marriott International and Sunstone Hotel Investors’ flagship brand Marriott Hotels & Resorts has completed a four-year, $30m full-property renovation of the Boston Marriott Long Wharf in Massachusetts, US.
According to Marriott Hotels, the reinvented lobby and the adjoining new Waterline restaurant and bar anchored the renovation. The 412-room Boston Marriott Long Wharf hotel now offers the Harbor View Ballroom, an expanded health club and concierge lounge, as well as a completely renovated meeting space, guestrooms and suites.
The new ballroom features floor-to-ceiling windows, a seasonal outdoor patio and panoramic views. Its addition has boosted Marriott Long Wharf’s flexible meeting space to 21,000ft2.
All the pre-existing meeting spaces of Boston Marriott were fully renovated, from the 8,200ft2 Grand Ballroom and the 5,750ft2 Palm Garden with its 55ft atrium, to the 2,530ft2 Commonwealth Ballroom, which can be split into five breakout rooms.
Architecture and interior design firm BBG-BBGM renovated all of the hotel’s guestrooms, which have ergonomic furnishings, luxurious bedding, iPod clock radios and HD LCD televisions with split-screen technology and plug-in connectivity for digital devices.
