EDITION has expanded its footprint in Japan after foraying three years ago, with the latest launch of a new luxury hotel in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza district.
Known as The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza, the hotel’s design blends Japanese cultural traditions with the avant-garde spirit of EDITION, a brand co-created by hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International.
The project marks another collaboration between the brand and renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.
EDITION forayed into Japan with The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon.
The TOKYO EDITION, Ginza is a 14-storey boutique hotel with 86 rooms and suites and claims to provide a luxury experience to guests in one of Tokyo’s popular destinations.
The hotel features a Japanese-tinged modern brasserie on the 14th floor called Sophie at EDITION and several bar concepts, including what is claimed to be the country’s only punch-focused cocktail bar and Ginza’s first natural wine bar.

“It’s an area where various city functions overlap and are woven together.
