Canada-based hospitality company Four Seasons and Fungseng Prosperity Holdings have unveiled plans for a new luxury hotel in Shanghai, China.
Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai is a 44-storey establishment with 160 rooms and suites.
The property is scheduled to open to guests in 2027.
It will be situated along Huaihai Zhong Road in the Huangpu district of Puxi, placing it at the epicentre of Shanghai’s shopping, dining and entertainment scene. This location is renowned for its blend of modern creativity and historical Art Deco architecture.
The partnership between Four Seasons and Fungseng Prosperity Holdings marks a strategic move to expand the luxury hotel brand’s presence in Shanghai.

Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai aims to offer guests an experience that harmonises luxury with the city’s unique character.
Ricardo Bofill and P&T Group served as architects for Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai, with interior design by Jean-Michel Gathy of DENNISTON.
The property will include restored traditional lane houses known as Shikumen at the base of the development, and a seafood restaurant.
Other amenities at the hotel include 7,212ft² of meeting and event space and 7,438ft² of comprehensive wellness facilities.
