The Niyama Private Islands Maldives resort in Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives, has reopened its Asian restaurant called Nest.
This restaurant is said to offer guests an immersive jungle dining experience and a reimagined menu.
Niyama Private Islands Maldives features twin islands called Play and Chill.
Nest, situated at the centre of the Play island, offers an Asian fine dining setting amid indigenous flora.
The restaurant is situated beneath a decades-old banyan tree, while on the ground floor, tribal thatched-roof huts surround a teppanyaki showcase.
Additionally, a spiral staircase leads to dining platforms suspended six metres above the ground.

By GlobalDataPoole Associates and landscape architect Drew Anderson of TOPO Design conceived the original design for Nest in 2013.
It was envisioned as a multi-level treehouse which seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings.
After ten years in operation, the resort’s chief engineer Michael Selvin has enhanced the setting with denser landscaping, ensuring each table receives a more exclusive dining experience.
Executive chef Thierry Vergnault has introduced a new menu featuring avant-garde flavours.
These include sizzling bo lok lak (Vietnam), wagyu and sea urchin tataki (Japan), and chilli reef lobster from local waters (Singapore).
Additionally, the restaurant’s own garden supplies rare Asian herbs and spices, which also inspire the experimental cocktail list curated by Bruff Drinks consultant Mathew Atkinson.
Niyama Private Islands Maldives general manager Hafidh Al Busaidy said: “We are thrilled to unveil the new Nest.
“The reimagined concept, coupled with Chef Thierry Vergnault’s culinary brilliance, promises to take our guest experience to another level, and we invite the adventurous from around the world to come to experience the magic of Nest for themselves.”
