Radisson Blu, part of the Rezidor Hotel Group, has opened a new hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
The $125m, 334-room property occupies the first 18 floors of the 81-storey Aqua tower, and plans to seek LEED certification from the US Green Building council.
The Chicago hotel was announced in May 2010 and is part of parent company Carlson Hotels Worldwide’s $1.5bn strategy to revitalise the Radisson chain in the US, according to The Associated Press.
