The Chocolate on the Pillow Group has chosen the Mews hospitality cloud platform to standardise the PMS across its four properties.
Formerly known as GHOTEL Group, The Chocolate on the Pillow is a multi-brand hotel operator with various properties in German-speaking countries.
It also operates hotel projects such as TRIBE and the Hoxton, both brands of Accor and Ennismore joint venture.
Apart from integrating Mews’s solution across four properties, the hotel group also intends to centralise Mews’s IT and digital infrastructure across nine of its own GHOTEL hotel & living branded properties.
The group sees the adoption of Mews as pivotal for its future growth.
The flexibility of Mews’s PMS will allow The Chocolate on the Pillow to swiftly roll out new properties and implement technology quickly following the completion of acquisitions.

By GlobalDataAccording to Mews, custom integrations were a significant factor in the hotel group’s decision to select Mews.
The Chocolate on the Pillow has already introduced a new Avatar kiosk at GHOTEL hotel & living Bochum through a privately built integration with Mews, showcasing a modern approach to tech-powered hospitality and a time-saving check-in solution.
For brands such as TRIBE, the importance of self-service options is growing. With Mews’ technology, The Chocolate on the Pillow is looking to expand these self-service capabilities to some properties within the Ennismore and Accor portfolio.
The Chocolate on the Pillow Group managing partner and CEO Erik Florvaag said: “Digitisation is our main priority – we aim to lift the burden of repetitive processes through automation.
“Mews lets us simplify everything, from digital check-in to payments. Our employees are relieved and empowered to look after the guests more. In our opinion, that´s a good example of enabling genuine hospitality.”
Following the latest partnership with The Chocolate on the Pillow Group, Mews said it has also surpassed the 5,000-customer milestone across more than 85 countries.
Recently, Mews was selected as a preferred PMS partner for Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
