Middle East and North Africa-based online travel marketplace Wego has announced a collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority to promote the Mediterranean island country.
Wego will feature insider tips and curated travel guides to Malta for travellers on its website.
The Maltese archipelago is comprised of three main islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino. Significant tourist attractions include the walled city of Mdina and the fortress capital city of Valletta.
GlobalData’s travel and tourism analysis finds that the top five source markets for Malta are the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.
The country is a hotspot for hoteliers, including Wyndham and Fortina, which both announced property development projects in Malta in late 2023.
