Hospitality technology provider Shiji has announced the deployment of its Infrasys point-of-sale (POS) solution at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland.
The five-star property, established in 1838 as Zurich’s first grand hotel, recently welcomed guests back after an extensive renovation.
The implementation of Shiji’s POS technology was planned before the hotel’s opening, comprising hardware installations, staff training, and detailed menu management.
Shiji Europe, Africa and UK senior vice-president and general manager Wolfgang Emperger said: “Many notable Mandarin Oriental properties in the Americas, Europe, and Asia have already gone live with Infrasys.
“We are delighted to witness the Infrasys POS solution in action at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich. This underscores our commitment to superior service for our customers, something anchored in all our products.”
During the renovation at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, and the concurrent Infrasys implementation, timely delivery was noted to be essential.

Infrasys, Shiji’s cloud-based restaurant POS solution, is designed to meet the diverse needs of the hotel industry.
It is hardware agnostic, functioning seamlessly with various devices including Apple iPads, Android devices, a wide range of hardware, and even some payment terminals.
The solution offers features such as digital signage, the option to design a dashboard to fit menu or sub-menu items, multilingual functionalities, and more.

Last week, Pfalzblick Wald Spa Resort in Germany implemented a suite of technology solutions from Shiji.
Shiji’s Enterprise Platform (PMS), alongside its Infrasys POS, Analytics, and Concept solutions, has now been integrated into the resort’s operations.
