IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced an expansion of its presence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the signing of a management agreement with the King Abdullah Financial District Management and Development Company (KAFD DMC).
The agreement paves the way for the development of two new luxury hotels in the heart of the King Abdullah Financial District, a prominent business and lifestyle destination in the Saudi capital.
The Regent Riyadh KAFD and the InterContinental Riyadh KAFD, both scheduled to open in 2027, will further solidify the existing partnership between IHG and KAFD DMC, bringing the total number of IHG properties in the district to three.
Regent Riyadh KAFD will mark the debut of the Regent brand in Riyadh. The 250-room hotel will feature a signature restaurant, two speciality restaurants, a tea lounge and two cafes. The hotel also offers fitness facilities, a spa, a ballroom and meeting rooms, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
The InterContinental Riyadh KAFD will feature 400 rooms and will showcase a range of five food and beverage outlets, including a signature restaurant, two speciality restaurants and a lobby lounge.
Catering to business, the hotel will also offer conferencing facilities. Leisure facilities will include a spa, a swimming pool and an indoor recreation area within a nearby retail business centre.
