Marriott International has announced the opening of its second property in Kenya, the JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi.
The 35-storey hotel is the tallest in Nairobi with a design inspired by Kenya’s natural beauty. The hotel’s design incorporates elements reminiscent of the outdoors, and its earth tones and artwork create a connection to Africa while providing modern comforts.
The hotel features 315 guest rooms, five restaurants, a spa, a fitness centre and extensive event space.
Serviced apartments and a rooftop bar will open later in 2024.
“The unveiling of the JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi marks our exciting debut in the vibrant heart of Kenya’s capital city, solidifying our steadfast expansion in Africa and re-inforcing our global footprint,” said Bruce Rohr, vice-president and global brand leader, JW Marriott.
Guest rooms offer city views, and the hotel’s upper floors house serviced apartments for extended stays.
