Radisson Hotel Group has announced strong growth in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, driven by strategic signings and openings across its diverse brand portfolio.
The company has 1,340 hotels in operation across more than 95 countries.
Key brands include Radisson Blu, Europe’s largest upper-upscale brand for 12 consecutive years, and Radisson, the fastest-growing upscale brand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Southeast Asia.
Building on this success, Radisson secured 50 new properties in Q1 2024. Growth continues in established markets such as the UK, India and China.
The company is entering new destinations such as Montenegro, Indonesia and Laos with the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort in Kolasin (Montenegro), the first Radisson resort with glamping [luxury camping] in Anyer (Indonesia) and the Radisson RED Vientiane in Laos.
EMEA expansion
Radisson Blu remains a powerhouse in Europe, accounting for more than 30% of the group’s Q1 2024 signings in EMEA. New properties are planned for Italy and Montenegro.

Noteworthy openings in EMEA included:
- South Africa’s first Radisson safari hotel – the Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit
- Italy’s sixth Radisson Collection property – the Radisson Collection Hotel, Roma Antica
- Southeast Europe’s first Radisson RED – the Radisson RED Belgrade (in partnership with the PPHE Hotel Group)
New art’otel properties are also planned for key European cities:
- Rome (art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio)
- London (art’otel London Hoxton) – opening in the first half of 2024
- Berlin (Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm) – Germany’s first Radisson RED, opening Q2 2024 (its second in partnership with PPHE)
APAC leads growth
More than half of Radisson’s Q1 2024 signings and openings were in Asia-Pacific (APAC), particularly India, China and Cambodia. The focus here is on the Radisson RED and Radisson Blu brands. Key signings include:
- New Zealand’s first Radisson – the Radisson RED Auckland
- Cambodia – the Radisson RED Phnom Penh and Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Phnom Penh
- India – Radisson Blu Hotels in Ayodhya and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)
