Accor has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a hotel under its midscale brand Mercure in the Chandigarh capital region that encompasses the cities of Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali.
Mercure Chandigarh Tribune Chowk has 60 rooms and suites, complemented by banqueting facilities.
Its Superior Suite is specially designed to offer a conducive environment for both social gatherings and business meetings.
Besides, the hotel includes an all-day dining restaurant that serves authentic Indian delicacies crafted from locally sourced ingredients.
The newly opened property is situated 30 minutes from Chandigarh International Airport.

The launch of Mercure Chandigarh Tribune Chowk is the result of a collaboration with KLG Group, Accor’s franchise partner in the region.
This follows the launch of Novotel Chandigarh Tribune Chowk in 2021.
Additionally, Mercure Chandigarh Tribune Chowk is part of Accor Live Limitless (ALL), the company’s lifestyle loyalty programme. Guests staying or dining at the hotel can avail the benefits of the programme, which includes access to rewards and exclusive services.
Last month, Accor announced its plans to introduce six new hotels across the premium, midscale, and economy segments, as well as three new luxury and lifestyle properties in India this year.
