Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed an agreement for a new Taj hotel at Panchkula, Haryana.
This hotel is expected to meet the increasing demand in the tri-city area, which includes Panchkula, Mohali, and Chandigarh.
This greenfield project signifies IHCL’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the region.
IHCL real estate and development executive vice president Suma Venkatesh said: “The signing of a Taj in Panchkula, one of Haryana’s leading cities, aligns with our vision to further solidify IHCL’s presence in the region.
“Given its proximity to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, this addition will also create a new travel circuit. We are pleased to partner with Kuldeep Singh Makkar for this venture.”
The Makkar family, a prominent business household with diverse commercial interests in Punjab and Haryana, is collaborating with IHCL for this venture.
