Hospitality group Minor Hotels (China) has signed a new dual-branded property in Yining, Xinjiang.
This marks the foray of the luxury Tivoli Hotels & Resorts and upscale NH Hotels & Resorts brands into north-west China.
Anticipated to open in 2026, the 1.6-million-square-metre project will feature 200 guest rooms for each brand, a commercial zone, a cultural performance centre, and residential areas.
This cultural performance centre is designed to host regular music and dance shows.
The commercial area, providing a shopping and leisure experience, will draw inspiration from the ancient Silk Road.
The hotels will be near local tourist attractions and the central business district.

“With such high profiles and strong reputations throughout Europe, we are confident that the Tivoli and NH brand offerings will appeal to both Chinese and international travellers.”
Minor Hotel (China) operations and development VP Eddy Tiftik said: “The establishment of Tivoli and NH hotels in Yining is expected to significantly improve the local hotel industry landscape, attracting more visitors and contributing meaningfully to the economic development of Yining and the entire Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture.”
Originating from Spain, NH Hotels & Resorts launched its first property in 1978.
With a portfolio of more than 230 hotels and resorts across Europe and the Americas, the brand looks to further extend its reach to new markets.
Earlier this month, Minor Hotels acquired The Jazz Corner Hotel in Melbourne, Australia.
The newly acquired property will continue to operate under its current name.
