InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is introducing a range of “Intentional Flexibility” initiatives, including an app to ease jet lag.
The Timeshifter app is based on the latest circadian science and devises jetlag mitigation plans based on guests’ chronotype, normal sleep pattern, itinerary and personal preferences, resulting in a fully personalised solution specific to each trip.
IHG guests will receive complimentary access to a Timeshifter jet lag plan for use on their inbound and outbound journeys.
Access to the app is complemented by a new restorative guest rooms concept, designed in partnership with neuroscience-based designer Isabelle Sjövall.
A range of scientifically backed nutritionally rich dishes designed to combat energy slumps and boost vitality is being introduced to all-day dining menus at IHG properties around the world.
IHG Hotels & Resorts vice president of luxury and lifestyle brands Tom Rowntree commented: “By harnessing the power of cutting-edge solutions like Timeshifter, we’re not only addressing the common challenges faced by travellers but also redefining the entire guest experience.”
