IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a multiple property agreement, marking its entry into the Vietnamese province of Quang Binh.

This two-hotel deal was signed with Hai Thanh Hung Investment and Vietnam Royal Investment and Construction.

It includes the development of the 68-villa voco Quang Binh Resort and the 232-room Crowne Plaza Quang Binh City Centre.

IHG Hotels & Resorts South East Asia and Korea senior director Chris Anklin said: “It is wonderful to be expanding into Quang Binh – an exciting new destination for IHG in Vietnam. Creating new tourism experiences together with our partners perfectly showcases our intention to have hotels in the right locations with the right owners.

“We continue to grow in Vietnam and will more than double our size in the next few years to more than 40 hotels across the country.”

The voco Quang Binh Resort, set to open next year, will join the voco Ma Belle Danang, enhancing IHG’s presence in Vietnam.

The property will feature amenities such as restaurants, bars, swimming pools, a Kids Club, and a spa.

Crowne Plaza Quang Binh City Centre is located close to government and commercial offices in Dong Hoi. It will open in late 2025.

The hotel will feature multiple dining options, meeting spaces, a fitness centre, spa, and an executive lounge.

It will be part of the Royal Landmark mixed-use development, locating near Dong Hoi Airport and Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport.

Anklin added: “Crowne Plaza Quang Binh City Centre, centrally located in the city centre will offer purposeful spaces for work and leisure that appeal to the modern traveller while voco Quang Binh Resort with its thoughtful, unstuffy and charming experience will become a leading beachfront resort in the area.

“This destination debut will strengthen the presence of our brand portfolio in Vietnam, offering stay experiences for every type of traveller.”

Currently, IHG has 18 hotels across six brands in Vietnam, with 26 properties in its pipeline.

Last month, IHG Hotels & Resorts signed a management agreement with Geelan Residency for its first hotel in the Kashmir region in India.
