The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has introduced Gateway, a full-service hotel brand offering in the upscale segment.
The brand launch was marked with the opening of the first Gateway brand hotel in Bekal in the Indian state of Kerala.
The company also migrated four existing properties in Nashik, Coonoor, Madurai, and Chikmaglur.
IHCL said that the Gateway brand portfolio will increase from 17 to 100 hotels by 2030.
IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “Expanding IHCL’s brandscape, the reimagined Gateway introduces a full-service hotel offering in the upscale segment, an ideal fit to capture growth opportunities in micro markets of metros and Tier II and Tier III cities.
“Gateway will cater to the increasing domestic demand for quality accommodations with large banqueting facilities in emerging cities.”
